Soap and Water
This is the safest and simplest way to clean most types of jewellery
- Mix a mild dish soap with warm water.
- Soak the jewellery for about 20 to 30 minutes.
- Gently brush the jewellery with a soft toothbrush, focusing on crevices where dirt may accumulate.
- Rinse under clean, warm water.
- Dry with a soft, lint-free cloth.
Professional Cleaning
When in doubt, especially with high-value items or intricate designs, professional cleaning is the safest choice and also good to get done once in a while.. Jewellers have the expertise and equipment to clean your jewellery without risking damage.
Tips for Jewellery Care
Storage: Store jewellery in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight. Individual pouches or a jewellery box with compartments can prevent scratches.
Regular Checks: Periodically check settings and clasps for damage. This can prevent the loss of stones or the jewellery itself. We recommend getting your fine jewellery checked every 1-2 years.
Avoid Chemicals: Remove jewellery before swimming, cleaning, or applying lotions and perfumes to avoid chemical reactions that can tarnish or damage the jewellery. Remove your rings before gardening, going to gym and so on. These activities have the possibility to weaken the setting on your ring.
We offer all Alexandra Fine Jewellery a lifetime quality warranty against manufacturing defects. If a warranty defect occurs in the jewellery, our jewellers will repair the product or, if necessary, replace it with a new one.
Alexandra Fine Jewellery's warranty does not cover defects caused by use, dropping of diamonds or other precious stones, nor theft or falling of the ring.
The warranty does not cover scratches, dents or other possible defects caused by normal use or heavy use. The warranty does not cover changes in the color tone of the precious metal, which can be caused by various chemicals, such as fats, conditioners, perfumes or, for example, chlorine water. We recommend that you always remove jewellery when swimming, cleaning, gardening, going to the gym, and so on.
The warranty also does not apply to dropping a diamond or gemstone, this includes a ring falling off a finger for any reason. Diamond attachments may wear over time even with normal use, and it is important to have the jewellery checked by a jeweller from time to time, for example every few years. In addition, keeping the jewellery clean (instructions here) will make the jewellery and attachments stay strong for longer.
As warranty repairs, we take care of, for example, casting defects and faulty solders that were already present in the jewellery at the time of purchase. Dislodgement of stones is not covered by the guarantee, if the jewellery shows impact marks, bending or other damages.
The warranty also does not apply to jewellery that has been altered by a party other than Alexandra Fine Jewellery. If you want to make a change to the jewellery, please contact us. AFJ has very strict quality control to ensure all of our products are perfect when they get to you, however, all jewellery must be inspected thoroughly when it is first received and any defects must be reported immediately.

Most of our jewellery is custom made with 2-4 week delivery time. Once the order is ready, we'll send it to you and you'll receive a notification. We insure each parcel from the time it leaves from us until its delivered to you or you have picked it up from the nearest postal service point.

Order with in stock and made to order products
If your order contains both in stock items as well as made to order products, we will send them to you separately. In this case you will receive a notification whenever package is sent to you.
Unclaimed parcels
Please make sure to collect your parcel within the time informed by the local delivery services. If the parcel is not collected within the informed time, the parcel will be returned back to us. For unclaimed parcels you will be charged 30 EUR for returned delivery and handling costs which will be deducted from the returned order refund or will be invoiced afterwards.
EXCHANGE AND RETURN TERMS
We accept exchanges and returns within 30 days of receiving the package.The right to exchange and return does not apply to engraved or otherwise customised products, for example but not limited to our letter necklaces or any engraved products or made to order products.
Products must be unused, in their original condition and in their original packaging to be returned or exchanged. If the product came with an IGI diamond certificate, it must also be returned.
RETURN INSTRUCTIONS
- Send an email with your order number and reason for the return/exchange to contact@alexandrafinejewellery.com. In case of an exchange, make sure to specify the details of the products you would like to have instead.
- You will receive a confirmation message in your email when your return request has been approved. We will then send you instructions and a return sticker that you can attach to the package.
- Pack the products in the original packaging. If the package came with an IGI diamond certificate, return this as well.
- Send it back to us
- Customers in Finland - Once you have prepared your parcel and attached the return shipping label, you can drop it off at your closest Posti service point. The package must be sent within 14 days of receiving your return label. If necessary, it is the consumer's responsibility to prove that the product has been returned within the deadline, for example with a return receipt from posti.
- Customers in Europe - Once you have prepared your parcel and attached the return shipping label, you can drop it off at your closest DHL service point. The package must be sent within 14 days of receiving your return label. RETURN CHARGES
- Finland - free returns.
- Europe - 25€. The amount will be deducted from the total amount of the purchase.
- Rest of the world - 50€. The amount will be deducted from the total amount of the purchase.
RETURN PROCESSING
When we receive the product, we'll inspect it. Once the refund has been approved, we will refund the original amount to the card or account with which the payment was originally made. We will process the refund within three days of receiving it but it may take up to 3-7 working days for the refund to appear in the account.
